Kanamycin, Neomycin, and Gentamicin are vital antibiotics utilized to combat diverse bacterial infections. Kanamycin functions by binding to bacterial ribosomes, inhibiting protein synthesis, and is typically reserved for severe infections unresponsive to other medications. However, its use may lead to severe adverse effects such as skin rash, nausea, vomiting, fever, and allergic reactions.
Neomycin, on the other hand, serves a dual purpose in managing hepatic coma and providing perioperative prophylaxis. Belonging to the aminoglycoside class, it impedes bacterial growth by hindering protein synthesis. Despite its efficacy, Neomycin may induce side effects like nausea, diarrhea, and colitis, with more serious outcomes including nephrotoxicity and ototoxicity.
Gentamicin, another antibiotic, is effective against various bacterial infections but proves ineffective for gonorrhea or chlamydia. Its usage may result in inner ear problems, nerve issues, and significant kidney complications.

Bioartron Neomycin, Kanamycin and Gentamicin (NEO, KAN & GEN 3-in-1) Rapid Test Kit contains mouse monoclonal anti-kanamycin antibody-colloidal gold conjugate, anti-neomycin antibody-colloidal gold conjugate, and anti-gentamicin antibody-colloidal gold conjugate pre-dried in sealed microwells. Kanamycin-BSA, neomycin-BSA, and gentamicin-BSA conjugate antigen (on test zone) and goat anti mouse IgG (on control zone) are coated and immobilized on a reaction membrane.
The principal of Bioartron Neomycin, Kanamycin and Gentamicin (NEO, KAN & GEN 3-in-1) Rapid Test is a solid phase, competitive inhibition immuno-chromatographic assay, in which antigen-BSA competes with the target chemicals that may be present in fresh raw milk sample to be tested, for limited antibody binding sites. When the absorbent pad (sample end) is soaked with the liquid sample in the microwell, the liquid sample will then migrate via capillary action toward the test window where the test reaction occurs. The absorbent pad (sample end) should be removed when observing to avoid further absorption.
