Aflatoxin B1

Colloidal Gold      ·   Food Safety        ·      AFT B1

"Aflatoxin B1 is a potent mycotoxin produced primarily by Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus fungi. It contaminates various plant-based products, posing risks to human and animal health. In livestock, ingestion of contaminated feed can lead to the presence of Aflatoxin B1 and its metabolites in milk and dairy products."

Aflatoxin B1 (AFT B1) Rapid Test Kit is an immunochromatographic assay adopting lateral flow technology and is designed for the qualitative detection of aflatoxin B1 in grains, cereals, animal feeds (premix) and cooking oil at or above the cutoff level of 2-50 ppb (μg/kg).

Ultra Sensitive

Detect target molecules at ultra-low concentrations using colloidal gold nanoparticles.

High Specificity

Engineered for precise interactions, our assays minimize false positives for accurate diagnostics.

Instant Reaction

With rapid colorimetric response, results are delivered swiftly, enabling prompt interventions.

Aflatoxin B1 SUMMARY

Aflatoxins are a group of mycotoxins produced by members of the aspergillus genus (A. favus, A. parasiticus and A. nomius). Six major aflatoxins have been identified: aflatoxin B1, B2, G1, and G2 are produced by fungi; aflatoxins M1 and M2 are in vivo metabolites of aflatoxin B1 and B2 that are identified in milk, urine, and blood samples.

The aspergillus fungi are presented throughout the world and their toxins are produced during growth and after harvest.  All six aflatoxins have been assigned carcinogenic status by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and are among the strongest, naturally occurring carcinogens in the world.

Aflatoxin B1 can contaminate milk from animals fed contaminated feed.

Aflatoxin B1 PRINCIPLES

Antibody-Colloidal Gold Conjugate

AFT B1-BSA conjugate antigen  and goat anti mouse IgG are coated and immobilized on a reaction membrane.

Bioartron Aflatoxin B1 (AFT B1) Rapid Test kit contains mouse monoclonal anti-AFT B1 antibody-colloidal gold conjugate pre-dried in the microwell.  AFT B1-BSA conjugate antigen (on test zone) and goat anti mouse IgG (on control zone) are coated and immobilized on a reaction membrane.

The principal of Bioartron Aflatoxin B1 (AFT B1) Rapid Test is a solid phase, competitive inhibition immuno-chromatographic assay, in which AFT B1-BSA competes with AFT B1 that may be present in sample extraction solution, for limited antibody binding sites. When the absorbent pad (sample end) is soaked with the solution, the solution will migrate via capillary action toward the test window where the test reaction occurs.
